Susan Hansen


Dr. Susan Hansen, DC is a sports chiropractor, exercise physiologist, and functional movement provider. She graduated with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in San Jose, California and has a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from Arizona State University. She has been certified in Active Release Technique (ART), Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), in addition to her experience in chiropractic practice.

Dr. Hansen has lectured at local Vail Valley schools in human biomechanics, mechanical and neurosensory modalities, rehabilitative care, and neuromusculoskeletal disorders affecting different types of populations. She has also appeared on television multiple times in the Valley discussing the importance of integrative health care, as well as local radio stations spreading her knowledge of injury prevention.

Dr. Hansen utilizes movement patterns and analyzes altered kinematics in the human body to create her own specific treatment plan to cater to each patient differently. She is the Lead Wellness Coordinator for Vail Integrative Medical Group, creating care plans for the providers and implementing them into each patient case to serve individual needs.

Dr. Susan has been an avid soccer player for over 22 years, obtaining a full-ride scholarship in undergraduate school. She continued to play in graduate school for Palmer and even competed in the annual Chiropractic Games in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Along with soccer, Dr. Susan also enjoys snowboarding, hiking, camping, and anything else that involves the beautiful outdoors this valley has to offer!
