Matthew Morris PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy
I am a proud Illinois native and I grew up in Winfield, a western suburb of Chicago. I attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology in 2011. I went on to attend school at the University of Illinois at Chicago where I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May of 2014.
I have always been in love with any & all sports, athletics, fitness and the outdoors. Being an athlete and staying active has resulted in countless injuries, but I am able to use my experiences with the aches, pains & rehabilitation processes as an essential way to relate to, understand and treat the individuals I have the pleasure of working with. I have been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association & Sports section since 2012.
My first visit to Colorado in 2011 planted a seed and a second visit in 2013 watered that seed. While family & friends in Chicago were experiencing the Polar Vortex, I was fortunate enough to spend 3 months at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Kauai, Hawaii for my final clinical internship. The idea of Colorado continued to grow while I was in Hawaii and now here I am in the Vail Valley. Outside of being a Physical Therapist, I coached high school basketball and volleyball while in Illinois and am hoping to continue coaching here in Colorado. I work hard so that I can play hard, and I am always looking for new experiences and ways to better myself. I am excited to meet members of the community and become an active member. Go Bulls, Go Blackhawks, Go Cubs, Go Illini, and (pause) Go Packers!
